About Kura

While I was a very intuitive child, it was when my grandfather passed away that I discovered an ability to communicate with those who've passed. My grandfather was like a father to me. When he passed, I was so devastated I could not even attend his funeral. About a month after he passed, I had a lucid dream in which I spoke with him in a place that was very sacred to him.  In the dream, he gave me a specific message for my grandmother. The experience was so powerfully reassuring that when I woke, I knew for certain he was happy, safe and that I would see him again. When I related the message to my grandmother, tears filled her eyes and she asked "How could you know this?" I had no answer and in that moment, the message he gave me dissipated from my memory.  Though the message left me, it touched my grandmother on such a profound level that I knew it was what she needed to hear to begin to find some peace with his passing.

Since that experience, I have continued to build a strong relationship with the spirit realm. This includes human, animal and plant energies. It is an innate and vital part of me, both in my creative and intellectual expressions of Self. I find when I follow my intuition's lead, my life is more balanced and I am able to create what I love and desire. While it is not always an easy path, it is very fulfilling.

My experience with the spiritual realm is a combination of whimsy, humor, daring, revelation, and comfort. Spirit often asks us to have faith, even when it does not make sense to our human minds. Spirit moves us through our own difficult times in a way that grants access to our own connection to the other side, and to the collective of us all.

When I'm not giving readings, I love to hike, sing, spend time with nature, talk with plants, play the djembe, and read. I also work in the social justice field, specifically the realm of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice. As an individual who is both a woman and Non-binary, I hold sacred space for those whose experiences are often perceived outside the status quo and dominant norms.
